The Ghana College of Pharmacists introduced the “Pharm Africa Basic Oncology Pharmacy Training Program” to train Specialist Pharmacists in pediatric oncology in Ghana, as well as accept residents from other African countries in the future. This is to help Pharmacists in Ghana and across Africa acquire the relevant knowledge and skills to manage cases of pediatric oncology in the region.
This training is intended to practically equip Pharmacists with requisite skills to participate in providing pharmaceutical care to patients receiving chemotherapy as part of the multi-modal approach to the treatment of cancers. The programme will take place at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana.
After completing this two-month training course, the trainee shall be able to:

The basic requirements for entry into this training programme are as follows:
Tuition – USD 1,000.00
All expenses including accommodation, food and transportation will be borne by the resident. Residents who may require assistance finding accommodation can contact the College via email paediatriconcology.gcpharm@gmail.com.
