Course Overview
- Medication Therapy Management (MTM) is an advanced service offered by accredited pharmacists to support patients in getting optimized therapeutic outcomes from their medicines.
- This is a programme put together to train pharmacists to acquire the necessary skills in order to provide patient centered MTM services for optimal outcomes. The modules are structured to ensure that pharmacists are well trained and accredited to provide MTM services in Ghana.
- The training programme consists of 3 modules,
- Module 1- Introduction to MTM
- Module 2- The Patient Group
- Module 3- The MTM Service (The Consultation skills)
Course Objectives
The objectives of this training are to:
- To equip pharmacists with practical training in the MTM consultation process.
- To help patients to improve medication adherence and therapeutic outcomes.
- To increase pharmacist’s contribution to generating National Health Data, decrease in the socio-economic burden associated with the treatment of chronic conditions.

Admission process
We have a simple admission process
Participants would be allowed a maximum of Six(6) months to complete the course
The basic requirements for entry into this training programme are as follows:
a. A registered pharmacist
b. Pharmacist must be in good standing with Pharmacy Council (PC) and Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH)
