ADMISSION OF CANDIDATES INTO PRIMARIES PROGRAMMES OF THE COLLEGE FOR THE 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR

 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Pharmacists for admission into Primaries programmes of the Ghana College of Pharmacists for 2020/2021 academic year.

PRIMARIES

GOAL OF THE PROGRAMME

The main goal of the course is to upgrade the knowledge and competence of candidates who register for the Membership and Fellowship programmes of the College, in relevant pharmaceutical and related sciences.

SPECIALTY DIVISIONS

The following specialty divisions are currently available for training at the College:

  1. Division of Pharmaceutical Care
    • Clinical Pharmacy
    • Community and Family Practice

 

  1. Division of Pharmaceutical Production and Quality Assurance
    • Drug and Herbal Medicine Production
    • Medicines Quality Assurance

 

  1. Division of Social and Public Health Pharmacy
    • Social and Administrative Pharmacy
    • Public Health

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The minimum admission requirements are as follows:

  1. The candidate should have basic pharmacy qualification from a recognized institution.
  2. The candidate should have undertaken pharmacy internship training and successfully passed the Ghana Pharmacy Professional Qualifying Examination (GPPQE)
  3. The candidate must be a Registered Pharmacist who has practiced for a minimum of 3 years post –registration.
  4. For PharmD candidates a minimum of 2 years post registration is required.

  • Application letter addressed to the Rector, Ghana College of Pharmacists to be sent by email to info@gcpharm.edu.gh
  • Attach certified copies of all Academic and Professional Certificates
  • Provide the names, addresses and emails to two referees: One academic and one professional
  • Two passport pictures

NOTE: All Academic and Professional certificates should be scanned and attached to the application form and submitted to info@gcpharm.edu.gh. The certificates should be scanned into one PDF or Word document and attached to the application form before submitting.
